THE STRATEGIC HIRING PROCESS

Strategic Hiring is an internal part of the Corporate Process and making appropriate business decisions.  All too often, employers will invest great resources to create elaborate plans for the organization’s growth and direction and then hire the wrong people to implement those plans.

Paes & Associates has developed a Strategic Hiring Process to greatly enhance the probability of hiring qualified people to perform the job responsibilities defined and who will also harmonize with company's business culture. This Process was developed to meet the needs of our clients to hire a person whose skills, abilities and personality are the right match for the open position. This Process has produced successful results for many of our clients, meeting the many complex challenges of matching employees who will be satisfied, long-term contributors with employers.

Hiring the wrong person can cost your business many valuable resources. We believe our services listed below, however, greatly minimizes that risk and will assist any business with hiring qualified people into their organization.   Ask our clients!  They will tell you they will never again hire a person without following the Strategic Hiring Process.

OUR STRATEGIC HIRING PROCESS

  1. Identify Existing Staff Team Culture through Assessment Tools
  2. Review Written Job Descriptions for Team Continuity
  3. Prepare a Custom Designed Job Search to Locate Qualified Candidates
  4. Select Appropriate Testing Tools for each Job Search Category
  5. Monitor Final Interview Process with Decision Makers and Staff
  6. Provide Reference Check Questionnaire for Final Candidates
  7. Present Comparison of Final Candidates to the Decision Maker
  8. Offer-Letter Samples are Provided for Selected Candidate
  9. Orientation Checklist is Provided for New Hire
  10. Conduct a Review of the Training Plan for Job Responsibilities
  11. Growth Monitoring During New Hire Introductory Period
  12. Assist Management in Preparation of Appraisal at the end of the Introductory Period

This approach requires a commitment from all decision makers to support and follow the Process, as well as invest their time where required for the completion of each step.

It is important to understand two things the Process does not do. It does not make the final decision of which candidate to hire. This is a recommending process that does the preliminary evaluation of the organization's needs, conducts and/or monitors a search and brings qualified candidates to the decision maker for selection consideration. The employer always makes the final decision of who to hire.

Secondly, because the employer makes the final hiring decision and is responsible for providing the employee with the necessary tools to do the job, as well as establish a relationship with the new hire, Paes & Associates cannot guarantee the new hire will stay employed for a set period of time. Should the employee leave during the Introductory Period, we will assist the employer with assessing the circumstances, and if mutally agreed, we will perform a second job search.

However, our clients have experienced an extremely high success rate and they have been very satisfied with the Process results.  We have only performed a second search once in the twenty years we have been in business.
